RJM Driving School Ltd Student Refund Policy

This policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds of prepaid driving lessons with RJM Driving School Ltd.

 

1. Eligibility for Refunds and Time Limits

  • Prepaid, Unused Lessons: Students may request a refund for any prepaid, unused driving lessons.
  • Lesson Expiry: All funds paid for lessons will expire one year from the date of purchase. After this period, any remaining funds will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Post-Test Refund Claims: For students who have successfully passed their driving test with RJM Driving School Ltd and wish to refund remaining lessons, the claim must be made within 3 months of the student passing their test. Claims made after this 3-month window will not be honoured.

 

2. Cooling-off Period

  • In accordance with distance sales regulations, students who purchase lessons online have the right to cancel their purchase and receive a full refund within 14 days of the transaction date.
  • If any lessons are taken during this 14-day period, the student will be charged for the completed lessons at the standard, non-discounted rate, and the remainder of the funds will be refunded.

 

3. Lesson Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Students must provide a minimum of 48 hours' notice to their RJM Driving School instructor if they need to cancel or rearrange a booked lesson.
  • Failure to provide the required notice may result in the student being charged the full amount for that lesson, which will be deducted from any prepaid funds.

 

4. Refund Calculation

  • For Discounted Lesson Packages: If a student requests a refund for unused lessons that were part of a discounted package, the refund amount will be adjusted. The lessons already taken will be charged at the standard, non-discounted single lesson rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded.
  • For Individual Lessons: The refund will be based on the cost of the unused individual lessons.

 

5. Processing a Refund

  • To request a refund, the student should contact the RJM Driving School office via email at robert.martin@rjmdriving.co.uk
  • Refunds will be honoured and processed within 30 days after a valid claim is made.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

 

6. Disputes

  • In the event of a dispute regarding a refund, a full investigation will be conducted. Both the student and instructor will be contacted, and any available evidence will be reviewed to reach a fair resolution. RJM Driving School Ltd's decision will be final.
